Freedom means something different to each of us. It can mean anything from waking up in the morning without an alarm, to following your passion, to finally buying that beach house you always dreamed of — and actually getting to spend the summers off enjoying it.
When you dream of the future you probably think of lifestyle freedom, early retirement, a time when life slows down and you can just “be”.
The truth is freedom doesn’t happen by chance, it happens by design.
It’s only with years of careful planning and preparation that we even have a chance at it. It’s only a very small percent of the population that ever truly achieve autonomy, security and freedom.
So how can you set yourself apart?
- Get clear on what Freedom means to you. What are your goals and dreams? What is the number you need to have in the bank (or whatever instrument you use to grow your money) to be truly free?
- Create a Road-map. You need a strategic, step-by-step plan to get you from where you are to where you want to be in the most efficient way possible. Take a look at the path you are on today, is it going to get you there? Perhaps it is time to change course. It is challenging to go at it alone, so find a mentor or coach to support you along the way. Most people don’t know where to start, so they never begin-not a good recipe for success.
- Commit to ACTION. Make the decision that you are going to separate from the flock, rise to the occasion, and do what it takes to make your dreams come true.
Decide that Ordinary is not OK…
Are you in alignment? Does your job or business as it stands put you on the path to prosperity? Play it forward, if you stay on the path you are on, does it get you there?
And yes, it is very hard to be Free when you are relying on a job, that’s why the fastest most efficient route to FREEDOM is by starting your own business (even if you are working full time).
The truth is 80% of all self made millionaires in the US are entrepreneurs or sales professionals. (Brian Tracy International)
